I am Wubetsh Asnake (BSc, MPH). Currently I am working as a CRVS program country manager at Vital strategies. I am participating in CRVS strategic plan preparation, VA guideline preparation and initiation of community CoD, and over strengthen CRVS system in Ethiopia. previously I was a project coordinator for causes of death project linked CRVS system in Ethiopia. I have taken a ToT training on both verbal Autopsy and physician ICD coding and was provide VA training for surveyor and code VA.

I a responsible to liaison the program between EPHA, CSA and INVEA. participate in WHO Verbal Autopsy tool translation. provide training on VA to surveyors and supervise the field data collection. I have also take a physician coding course and participate on the coding of VA narratives.

This is my current position. I am embedded in Mistry of health and responsible to provide technical and financial support to the ministry as well as to the overall CRVS system, I have participated in 5 year country CRVS strategic document preparation. currently I am participate in national Verbal Autopsy guideline preparation and initiation of community birth and death notification. I also take part in a routine analysis of the facility birth and death notification.

I have a BSc Degree in public health from Gondar University and Master of public health (MPH) from Addis Ababa University in which I have taken basic and advanced statistics that helped me to be familiar with CRVS system.
